Welcome to Echo Valley Ranch
Echo Valley Ranch is located on the eastern portion of the Palmer Divide north of Peyton, Colorado. We are a family owned and operated ranch since 2005. We raise miniature Jerseys, Aberdeen (formerly known as Lowline Angus), and Miniature Herefords as well as hogs and poultry. Our horses are for the pleasure and occasional cattle work. With limited land resources and hay prices in Colorado, the smaller cattle make more sense. They are easier on the land and equipment and provide nice forage to meat conversion ratio – cutting production cost and increasing ease of handling. Our goal is to enjoy the animals while raising wholesome food.
Breeding Stock
Aberdeen cattle were developed from a dwarf free herd of 100% Registered Angus, which was established at the Trangie Research Cente in Australia in 1929 to provide quality beef breeding stock for the New South Wales industry. From that early beginning and after decades of selection to moderate frame size came this exciting beef breed we call Aberdeen.
